VERB PATTERNS
The way we create sentences can be a real mystery to learners of English as a language. Subject + verb
it is the simplest of verb patterns. The subject is followed by an intrinsic verb which is expressed complete without the help of any other words.

We can use some verbs in both pattern 4 and pattern 5. Pattern 5 is preferred when the direct object is less important or when the indirect object is longer than the direct object.
