Conjunction is a word that merely join together two words or sentence

Conjunction join together sentences and make them more compact

Asif and Amir are good bowlers

In a short way we can say

Asif is a good bowler and Amir is a good bowler

So 

Raju is a poor  but honest

In an other way 

Raju is poor but he is honest

Sometimes conjunction joins words only

Amir and Asif are brothers 

Raju and Ram came home together

Correlative conjunction with examples 

Conjunctions that are used in pairs are called correlative conjunction

When a conjunction are used as correlative each of the correlative words should be placed before the words to be connected as

He visited not only Hyderabad but also Karachi

(No) He not only visited Hyderabad but also Delhi

We use many compound expression as conjunction then  they are called compound conjunction

Co-ordinating conjunction with examples : 

The co ordinating conjunction join  together clause of equal mark

Co- ordinating conjunction has four kinds

This kind of co ordinating conjunction express opposition or contrast between two statements

For example

Raju is slow but he is sure

Ali was all right only he was fatigued 

He was annoyed still he kept quiet

Disjunctive or Alternate  conjunction with examples :

This kind of co ordinating conjunction express a choice between two alternative 

For example

Kiran must weep or she will die 

Either Ali is mad or he is feigns madness 

Illative   conjunction with examples :

This kind of co ordinating conjunction express an inference 

Subordinating conjunction  conjunction with examples :

Subordinating conjunction join a clause to one  another on which it depends for its fullest meaning
